Infant Lead Teacher (6 weeks–18 months)
📍 Amherst, NY
This is not a babysitting job.
This is where foundational human development begins.
If you believe the first year of life matters deeply—and that responsive care, intentional play, and consistency shape a child’s future—you’ll feel at home here.
We are a high-quality early childhood program serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our approach blends learning through purposeful play with a warm, family-centered environment—where professionalism and joy coexist every day.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As our Infant Lead Teacher, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich environment for infants
- Lead a classroom with intention, structure, and consistency
- Plan and implement purposeful, play-based learning experiences
- Maintain clear communication with parents—professional, respectful, and proactive
- Ensure licensing standards, routines, and documentation are followed with attention to detail
- Model professionalism and guide support staff in the classroom
What We Expect (Non-Negotiables)
We are a reliable team serving families who depend on us. That means:
-
Consistent attendance and punctuality
-
Professional communication and demeanor
-
Follow-through on responsibilities—every time
-
Calm, capable presence in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment
If you are someone who shows up, follows through, and takes pride in doing things well—you will thrive here.
Who Thrives in This Role
You’ll succeed here if you:
- Are reliably consistent, not just enthusiastic
-
Genuinely enjoy being with infants—not just supervising them
- Are detail-oriented and notice the small things that matter
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both teammates and families
- Can balance structure with warmth, and professionalism with playfulness
This Is NOT for You If:
- You struggle with attendance or reliability
- You become easily overwhelmed by noise, multitasking, or busy environments
- You’re looking for a low-responsibility or “just watch the kids” role
- You have difficulty maintaining professional communication with parents or staff
What Makes Us Different
- We believe in play with purpose—not chaos, not worksheets
- We operate like a team and a family—supportive, accountable, and respectful
- We hold a high standard—for ourselves and for each other
- We value educators who want to grow, improve, and take pride in their work
