This is not a typical daycare job.

We are hiring a Lead Infant Teacher for our childcare center who understands that working with infants is skilled, intentional work—not babysitting.

At Little People’s Park, our early childhood program is built on one standard:
 Kindness, consistency, and professionalism—every day.

If you are dependable, emotionally steady, and take pride in your classroom, you will do well here.

Position Overview

- Lead a structured, nurturing infant classroom (6 weeks–18 months)
 - Support early childhood development through responsive care and routines
 - Maintain a calm, organized daycare classroom environment
 - Follow all NYS OCFS regulations and center policies
 - Communicate clearly and professionally with parents
 - Work as part of a reliable, accountable team

What We’re Looking For

- Reliable and consistent attendance
 - Calm, patient, and emotionally stable demeanor
 - Engaging, positive, and present with children
 - Ability to follow systems and work as part of a team
 - Experience leading or supporting an infant classroom

This Role Is NOT a Fit If You:

- Call off frequently or struggle with attendance
 - Resist policies, structure, or feedback
 - Prefer doing the minimum instead of taking pride in your work
 - Are easily overwhelmed in a fast-paced childcare environment
 - Are not already qualified to lead an infant classroom

Qualifications (Required – No Exceptions)

- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field + infant experience
 - CDA (Infant/Toddler) + experience in a childcare or daycare setting
 - Recognized infant/toddler credential + relevant experience

We are hiring an experienced teacher ready to lead—not a training position.

Compensation & Benefits

- $16.50–$18.50/hour (based on experience)
 - Paid time off + paid holidays
 - No weekends
 - 401(k) with company match
 - Paid training and professional development
 - Opportunities for advancement

Application Process

We review applications carefully and are looking for candidates who take pride in their work.

As part of the application process, you will be asked questions about:
 - Your reliability and attendance
 - How you handle real classroom situations
 - Your approach to professionalism in childcare

Thoughtful, specific answers will help you stand out.

Final Thought

If you are a dependable, experienced infant teacher who values structure, kindness, and professionalism, this is a place where you’ll be supported and respected.
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
